Welcome back for the 2022 Winter Term!

Happy New Year!

We hope you had a great winter break and holiday season.  We understand that there may be some uncertainty as we all navigate keeping ourselves and our families safe and healthy, starting classes remotely for the first 2 weeks, and preparing to return to in-person classes in week 3 of the winter term.

Please view details below to help you prepare for a great 2022 Winter term!

1. Advising availability:  Your advisors are available for remote advising by zoom.  To schedule an appointment (20 minutes) or Express Advising (10 minutes), please access MyAdvising and search for your advisor's name to schedule the meeting.

2. Dates and deadlines: Please be sure to bookmark the UCR Academic Calendar and carefully note registration dates as well as last days to drop/add classes and withdraw from classes.

3. Time Management: We strongly encourage you to use a paper-based or app-based planning system to ensure you're keeping up with your academic and personal responsibilities.  Proactive planning can help reduce stress.  We recommend attending a workshop such as Goal Setting and Time Management: see the ARC Workshop schedule

4. Mental Health: Maintaining our physical and mental health is a crucial component of a successful academic term.  To explore the variety of options that CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) offers, please view the CAPS website.
