19W Registration Instructions (Please read thoroughly to ensure your registration isn't delayed!)

You might be thinking about the fantastic Halloween costume you're rocking, or the mid-terms which you just completed (or which are still lurking around the corner).  However, it's also time to start thinking about registering for next quarter's classes!

Please refer to the UCR Academic Calendar for exact dates and deadlines for the Winter 2019 quarter.  (Even though we're in the 2018 Fall quarter, we look ahead at the Winter 2019 schedule because that's the quarter for which registration is about to open).

Steps to register:

1. View your Time Ticket.  Log into R'Web and select the Student Profile icon, on the upper right side of the page, click on the Registration Notices tab (pictured below). Under the Time Tickets section, the From date is when your enrollment window opens- your first opportunity to begin registering for 2019 Winter classes.  Please note that the maximum units you can enroll in until second pass/makeup enrollment begins is 17 units.  After that date, you can enroll in up to 20 units.

2. Submit a Term Plan.  When logged into R'Web, you can select the Registration icon.  This will lead you to a window which will have a Term Plan link you can select.  You must submit a term plan for each quarter's registration (except for summer registration).  Once you submit the Term Plan, your name will show up on a daily report (during week days, excluding holidays) that your advisor receives as notification that you have submitted a Term Plan.  Your advisor will review Term Plans in the order in which students register.
     a. Be sure to submit your Term Plan at least 5 business days before your Time Ticket opens to ensure your advisor has sufficient time to review your submission.
     b. When Saving your Term Plan, a blank text box will appear where you can name your Term Plan.  You must name your Term Plan the name of the major you're working toward!  As an undeclared CNAS student, you may be working toward any CNAS major, or even a major in CHASS (or BCOE, if you have spoken with your advisor about your eligibility).  Therefore, you must name your Term Plan the name of the major you're working toward so we can help you stay on track to meet eligibility for that particular major.

3. Clear Holds.  Holds can be placed on your account for several reasons, and only the departments placing the hold can remove them.  See Hold examples below:

You will have a Term Plan Hold until after your advisor reviews your Term Plan.  Submitting your Term Plan will NOT clear your Term Plan Hold.  You do not need to submit additional Term Plans; rather, wait for your advisor to have time to review your Term Plan.  Once we approve your Term Plan, we will also remove your Term Plan Hold.

If you are an undeclared CNAS student who will be exceeding 89 units (the maximum units to remain undeclared) with your earned UCR units + your quarter in-progress units, you will have a hold, pictured above, called Declare A Major To Register.

To have this hold cleared, you will need to declare a major (during Weeks 2-4 of the quarter, or the beginning of next quarter).  If you have AP/IB units which are pushing you past the 89 unit limit, those will be excluded from the calculation.  Students truly exceeding the 89 unit limit should look for an email from CNAS advising during Week 5 or 6 of the quarter with instructions for how to request to register for the 2019 Winter quarter.  If you do not receive an email with instructions by the end of Week 6, please reach out to your Undeclared Advisor to inquire if you will be truly exceeding the limit.

The deadline to complete the Sexual Violence online training module has passed.  If you did not complete it by the deadline, you will have the following hold.  To clear the hold, please access www.campusclarity.com/signup to complete the module.  If you have questions, please email thinkaboutit@ucr.edu.  Note that once you complete the module, you may still have a hold showing until the system refreshes overnight.

4. Register.  Once your Holds have been removed and your Time Ticket window has opened, you may register for your classes by selecting the Registration icon in R'Web.  Remember, you can add/drop classes all the way through the end of Week 2 of the 2019 Winter quarter.
