Why Has My Term Plan Not Been Cleared?

Please see the checklist below to help you see why you might still have a Term Plan hold in place for 20W (2020 Winter quarter) registration.

Are you a Freshman or Sophomore?
1. Term plans are cleared in the order in which students register, which is as follows:
  • Priority enrollment (honors, athletes, learning accommodations, and other groups)
  • Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen
Have you submitted a complete term plan?
2. Term plans must include the following items to be considered complete and ready for review:
  • Undeclared students must name their term plan the name of the major they're working toward
  • At least 3-4 classes must be listed (simply listing a class or two isn't a complete term plan)
When did you submit your term plan?
3. Term plans should be submitted at least 3-4 business days (week days/not holidays) before your Time Ticket opens or your term plan might not be cleared by your first opportunity to register.

Have you exceeded the Undeclared Unit Maximum?
4. Students expected to have 90 units or above (UCR units, minus AP/IB units + in progress units for 19F) were sent an email 2 weeks ago with instructions for submitting a petition to register for 20W by exception. If you were sent the email and did not submit the petition, your next opportunity to submit will be on November 27th.  Please check your R'Mail for details.

If you have met all of the above criteria, your term plan hold is likely still in place because your advisor has not reviewed it yet, based on when you register for classes.  Remember, submitting a term plan does not remove the hold.  Only when your advisor reviews and approves your term plan is the term plan hold removed.

If your term plan hold is removed, but you have other holds (from financial aid, student business services, student health, student conduct, etc., only those departments can remove those holds; you will need to work with those departments to have the holds cleared).

Happy Registering!
