As we round the bend past adjusting to your spring schedule and completing mid-term exams, we approach preparations to register for the next academic quarter (2019 Fall) and final exams.
There is also a deadline to keep in mind:
Friday (tomorrow) AT NOON
This is the end of Week 6 of the quarter and is the deadline to withdraw from individual classes.
If you feel that you're not doing well in one or two of your classes, and are likely to get a D or F grade in the class, you may want to consider withdrawing. Withdrawing from a course means your transcript will show a "W" for that course instead of any grade, and will not count in your GPA or number of units earned.
To submit your request to withdraw from a course:
- Go to myforms.ucr.edu
- Select Undergraduate Enrollment Adjustment Form
- Find the section that is titled Withdraw from a course
- Enter the CRN for the course you wish to withdraw from, press Select and then press Add (on the right side of the form); be sure to enter all components, so if you're withdrawing from a lecture, be sure to include lab, discussion, etc.
- At the bottom of the form, select Submit
If you have specific questions about withdrawing from a course this quarter, please see or contact your advisor ASAP.
Your next deadline to withdraw from courses will be between Week 7 and the end of Week 10. After the Week 6 deadline, you can only withdraw from the entire quarter. Withdrawing from individual classes after the Week 6 deadline at noon is not permitted.
Keep an eye out for upcoming information about submitting your term plan and registering for your 19 Fall classes.
Finish the quarter strong!
