UCEAP - Biology in Costa Rica Fall 2019

The UC Education Abroad Program is offering the opportunity to learn biology in the rainforest of Costa Rica in the 2019 Fall quarter.  If you are interested, you must contact the UCR EAP office no later than MARCH 8th.

Eligibility requirements:

Class Level:
Junior, Senior, Graduate

Language Prerequisites:
None
GPA:
2.85 cumulative GPA at the time of application and maintained through the end of the last term prior to departure.

Other Eligibility Requirements:

• Completion of 4 biology related courses, which includes at least one upper-division course by the time of departure.

• Lab experience and a course in statistics are strongly recommended.

• The ability to adapt to a new way of learning (outdoor instruction, sometimes at night), ability to adapt successfully to a tropical environment with a large amount of rainfall and dramatic temperature fluctuations, and strenuous physical activity involving long hikes and backpacking (you will carry your belongings).
