Are You Ready to Register for the 2019 Spring Quarter?

Here we are, already halfway through the 2019 Winter quarter!  We hope that you are thriving in your classes, and having an enjoyable, productive experience!

In preparation for the upcoming Registration time period for the 2019 Spring quarter, please thoroughly review the essential information, below.

1. View your Time Ticket.

  • Log into R'Web and select the Student Profile icon.  On the upper right side of the page, click on the Registration Notices tab (pictured below).
  • Under the Time Tickets section, the From date is when your enrollment window opens- your first opportunity to begin registering for 2019 Spring classes.
  • Please note that the maximum units you can enroll in until second pass/makeup enrollment begins is 17 units.  After that date, you can enroll in up to 20 units.

2. Submit a Term Plan.

  • When logged into R'Web, you can select the Registration icon.  This will lead you to a window which will have a Term Plan link you can select.
  • You must submit a term plan for each quarter's registration (except for summer registration).
  • Once you submit the Term Plan, your name will show up on a daily report (during week days, excluding holidays) that your advisor receives as notification that you have submitted a Term Plan.
  • Your advisor will review Term Plans in the order in which students register.
    • Be sure to submit your Term Plan at least 5 business days before your Time Ticket opens to ensure your advisor has sufficient time to review your submission.
    • When Saving your Term Plan, a blank text box will appear where you can name your Term Plan.  You must name your Term Plan the name of the major you're working toward!  As an undeclared CNAS student, you may be working toward any CNAS major, or even a major in CHASS (or BCOE, only if you have previously spoken with your advisor about your eligibility).  Therefore, you must name your Term Plan the name of the major you're working toward so we can help you stay on track to meet eligibility for that particular major.
    • Please DO NOT email your advisor simply to inquire about the status of the review of your Term Plan.   This will actually delay the time it takes to review term plans.  Please know that we are reviewing term plans as quickly and thoroughly as possible, and we want to help your registration proceed in a smooth manner.

3. Clear Holds.

  • Holds can be placed on your account for several reasons, and only the departments placing the hold can remove them.
  • Your Term Plan hold will remain until after your advisor reviews your Term Plan.
  • Submitting your Term Plan will NOT clear your Term Plan Hold.
  • You do not need to submit additional Term Plans; rather, wait for your advisor to have time to review your Term Plan.  Once we approve your Term Plan, we will also remove your Term Plan Hold.

4. Register.

  • Once your Holds have been removed and your Time Ticket window has opened, you may register for your classes by selecting the Registration icon in R'Web.
  • Remember, you can add/drop classes all the way through the end of Week 2 of the 2019 Spring quarter.
5. Advising Availability.
  • During the Registration time period, academic advising availability will be limited.  This is to accommodate the review of hundreds of Term Plans that each advisor will be evaluating.
  • Although no appointments will be available during this time, drop in advising will still be available.
  • Please view myadvising.ucr.edu to see your advisor's availability.
