DEADLINE REMINDER - withdraw deadline is the end of WEEK 6!

How is the Fall quarter going for you?  By now, you have probably take most or all of your mid-term exams.  If you feel you are not going to pass a class this quarter, you have until Friday, November 9th, at noon to submit an EAF (Enrollment Adjustment Form) at myforms.ucr.edu requesting to withdraw from a class.

Important Tips:

  • As long as you submit the EAF by the deadline, it's okay if it's not approved until a later date.
  • Please realize that if you are in a learning community and choose to withdraw from a math/science class, you will no longer be eligible to remain in the learning community and will have to enroll in all classes on your own for all future quarters (no seats in classes will be reserved for you anymore once you're dropped from the learning community).
  • If you're close to exceeding the 89.9 CNAS undeclared unit limit, and plan to withdraw from a class you needed to meet major change criteria, this may cause an issue with your major change eligibility.
  • If you don't withdraw from individual classes by the deadline, the next withdraw deadline is December 7th, which is the Friday of Week 10.  During Weeks 7-10, you can only withdraw from the entire quarter, not individual classes.  To complete a withdraw from the quarter, you would need to come in to the CNAS UAAC and meet with a College Advisor to process the quarter withdraw.

Term Plan/Registration Reminders:

  • Remember to NAME YOUR TERM PLAN the name of the major you're working toward.  If you have not done so, your term plan may not be cleared!  If you're not sure, please double check your term plan and update the name (or submit a new plan, name it properly, and select it as your primary plan).
  • It IS NOT NECESSARY to email your advisor regarding your term plan.  This can actually delay your term plan being approved because it takes time away from your advisor being able to review term plans.
  • Your term plan hold may remain until shortly before your Time Ticket opens.  This is because your advisors are reviewing term plans in the order in which students register.  As we review hundreds of term plans, your term plan might not be cleared far in advance of when you register.  Our goal, however, is to clear your term plan by your Time Ticket, unless there are issues preventing this, such as:
    • Not submitting your term plan at least 3-5 business days before your Time Ticket date
    • Not naming your term plan the name of the major you're working toward
    • Not listing at least 12 units (3-4 classes) on your term plan
  • Advisors are only available for Drop In advising this week (Week 6) through Week 8.  In Week 9, appointment availability will resume.
  • If you have other holds, not from CNAS, be sure to resolve the holds ASAP so your registration isn't delayed.  These holds could be:
    • Financial Aid Holds
    • Student Business Services (fees due)
    • Health Center holds (documents, or immunization records needed, etc.)
    • Sexual Violence module completion needed holds
    • AP scores need to be submitted (you can pull up your official online AP scores at the HOSS and show them so then can record your AP credit in the system)
We hope you are having a great week!
Best,
Katie, Liz, Kia, Johanna, and Denise
