Did the pandemic impact your studies? UCR wants to help! You can enroll in more summer units at UCR for the price of 8 units!
UCR Summer Sessions has made summer courses more affordable by capping the summer per-unit fees* at 8 units!
Do you want to enroll in 12 units, or even 16? No problem--you** will only pay for 8!
WHO
QUALIFIES FOR THE 8-UNIT FEE CAP:
-Current UCR
undergraduate students
-Visiting active UC undergraduate students
Current UCR undergrads and visiting active*** UC undergraduate students will only be charged the summer per-unit fees for the first 8 units enrolled. Course material fees and other campus fees based on registration will still apply.
HOW IT WORKS:
First, register for classes! It does not matter which session the course is in or if the courses are being offered online or in-person. You can even enroll in multiple sessions!
Then, as long as you qualify and are registered for more than 8 units, you will only be charged the per-unit fee for the first 8 units! Please keep in mind that the mandatory campus fees and the course material fees will be charged based on your overall course enrollment.
Want to see a breakdown of summer fees? Check out Summer Sessions Cost and Aid at https://summer.ucr.edu/cost-aid#fees.
Information about financial aid will be made available soon.
*The per-unit
fee of $279 will be charged for the first 8 units enrolled. After 8 units, the
per-unit fee will not apply. However, the mandatory Student Technology Fee ($4)
is not subject to the 8-unit fee cap and will be charged for each unit
enrolled. Course material fees will be charged and are not subject to the
8-unit fee cap.
**The per-unit
fee cap applies only to active UCR undergraduate students and UC undergraduate
students. The 8-unit fee cap does not apply to UCR graduate students, visiting
UC graduate students, non-UC visiting undergraduate students or non-UC visiting
graduate students.
***To be
considered an active visiting UC undergrad, students must 1) currently attend
another UC campus as an undergraduate and 2) submit a visiting student
application at summer.ucr.edu/forms.
